1st Bac - Creation of the tax culture and the remuneration it receives from the Government
The process of consolidating a national tax culture in accordance with that principle and is a challenge that helps the country to facilitate the implementation of fair, equitable, clear and supportive tax policies to regulate taxes so that all citizens contribute in based on their income, because based on them the government can fulfill the rights and provide guarantees of society such as security, order, freedom, defense, education, health, roads, production, employment, etc.
To face this challenge, on October 19, 2007, through ministerial agreement number 387 of the Ministry of Education, it was established that every April 27 the national day of tax culture be commemorated in Ecuador with the purpose of raising awareness among the students and citizens in general on the payment of taxes, seen as one of the most important duties of citizens since it constitutes a contribution so that the government can execute national development projects.
Role of the educational system in the consolidation of the national tax culture
The tax administration along with the ministry of education recognize that the tax culture is a key part of active citizenship that must be built from school and throughout people's lives. In other words, the role that teachers play in school classrooms is very important. We must add the work of fathers and mothers at home who, with their example, influence the process of citizenship training of their children.
For the students of entrepreneurship and leadership, it is an opportunity to know and become aware of the tax culture, it is an exercise that informs about the responsibility of the taxpayer - the entrepreneur of a business - by paying their taxes in full and on time, and of the Government that receives the taxes and honestly and efficiently proceeds to invest them in those activities that are a priority for the general interest of the citizens,
